The 5th edition of the International Single Window Conference

The development of foreign trade and adopted means constitute a strong powerhouse pushing the economy of Islamic, Arab and African countries to take on leadership on the international scene and occupy an important place in trade exchange between North and South and East and West.

In this context and in conformity with the vision of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, May God Assist, which intends to improve the quality of the services provided by the sector, and in view of the importance given to the various border crossings such as ports, airports and roads and the excellent positioning of “PORTNET”, the National One-stop-shop for Foreign Trade Procedures in the African, Arab and International levels, that the “PORTNET” organises in partnership with the National Ports Agency, the African Alliance for E-Commerce and the Administration of Customs and Indrect Taxes, The 5th edition of the International Single Window Conference. This edition will be held in the Marrakech "Palais des Congrès" from 5th to 7th September 2016 under the theme: "Virtual single window of foreign trade: the requirement of an inclusive collaboration", under the aegis of the Ministry of equipment, Transport and logistics and the Ministry in charge of the Foreign Trade.

 The organisation of this edition in the Kingdom of Morocco is a part of the efforts made by all of the actors of the public and private sector to improve the business climate for the whole foreign trade community, through the implementation of the latest technologies to facilitate procedures, improve company’s competitiveness and implication of all of the sector’s stakeholders : administrations, departments and economic operators, in the establishment of a global, participatory and inclusive approach. This approach mainly aims at raising awareness about the strategic importance that should be given to all actors, especially businesses for a complete integration of import and export chains as they constitute an incontestable competitive advantage.

This edition will also be a unique opportunity for the development of the means adopted in the field of foreign trade through the exhibition of the latest innovative solutions, exchange of experience and coordination of efforts among all present.

This event brings together thousands of companies and more than 40 international delegations including 18 African countries, as well as many national actors and international experts in this field such as:

United Nations, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization and the World Organization of Customs and many national and international economic operators acting at the level of the ports, airports, logistics and technology solutions and who leaders in these fields.
